About us

Who we are and what we stand for

Leewood K-8 Center PTSA is a registered local unit of the Florida PTA and the Miami-Dade County Council PTA, and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

Our Mission

To make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.
The National PTA mission, adopted by every local unit

Our Vision

A Leewood where every family has a way in, every teacher has what they need, and every student is known by name.
Draft — board to approve
Fill-in: the vision statement is a draft written for Leewood. The board may prefer to adopt the Florida PTA vision verbatim instead. Either way it needs a vote before this page goes public.

Still needed here: Vice President II and III, the Secretary, an email for Kristen de Ubrizu, and Kristina Saliers's actual board title (listed as Board Member as a placeholder). No officer phone numbers go on this page -- Denise asked that hers not be made easy to find, and that is the right default for everyone. Confirm the spelling Margolesky, which matches her dadeschools address and the family name already in our roster data.
